Uncertain Times

Did you take their words for granted til it all turned out to be lies?
Do you that we'll survive it all as the world around us dies?
Have you spent every penny from the wages of your crimes?
Do you think tomorrows another day in these uncertain times?

In these uncertain times.....

Seems all the work has dried up, theres no money in the bank,
There is no way to pay the rent , that ship came in and sank,
Some bust their humps in dayjobs while some sit on their hands,
The rich destroy old policies while the poor make new demands,

In these uncertain times.....

Longetivity is rotting like our patience worn so thin,
We now skate on the thinnest ice,
And soon we'll plunge right in,
Coins we threw in the fountain, some of yours and some of mine,
Are sinking fast beneath the tides of these uncertain times,
